Teen Pregnancy

We have all had that one friend that is pregnant and word gets around how she is either keeping the kid or getting and abortion. We all like to say that we will never have sex when we are kids and wait for the right person or when we get married. Well now a day’s sex is everywhere! We all know the risk of it and yet teens still do it. There are many ways in which teen pregnancy can be decreased but if teen and young adult don’t want be careful they may find out that they are having pa baby that they may not want.

            Over the years that most of us have been in school we have seen more of our friends get pregnant or have kids. I know that I have and I tell you it scares me! There has been an increase in teen age birth rates since 2005 that have been a huge increase. In 2011 the teen birth rate was 31.13 in the United States alone. The Unites States ranked the highest in 2008 at the rate of pregnancy of teen out of all the other countries.             I think that the media has played a very big role in how teen should behave and what they should look like or act like. The fact that they have made shows just for girls that are pregnant like 17 and Pregnant and Teen Mom, they are encouraging young teen to become the stereotype they label them and just because you get to be famous for being pregnant does not mean that everyone else will except you. I know that most of the mom’s that stated on 17 and Pregnant then they mad the show for them, Teen Mom. They have all been in the media for something and it’s not saying how grate of a mom they are but how they shouldn’t be moms. Most teen that wants to live the life that the media tell them it’s ok to live, I think that they don’t know how to live that own like and need someone to tell them how to. To me I think that if you live your like the way you want it you won’t have to deal with what people are tell you to be and you will choose who you want to be Nott what people want you to be .

            Aside from all the stereotypes about teenage mothers, there are many people that I know that don’t go by those stereotypes, that when to college and graduated and now have good paying jobs and say that learning from the mistake they made as a teen mom made them who they are now and that they will not take it back for the world. I think that even if you are not planning on having a kid at a young age, there are always people that will help you get through it. Many people have said that but it’s the truth and just because you think all your friends are having sex don’t do it, it’s just the media having an influences in how they think most teen live there life and some that may be true but for the others that are not, don’t play by their book.
